The Pre-sold Process Many people ask if we can build a house for them from scratch. The answer is “yes”. We can build you a home on our lot or on yours. The process is fairly simple. Contact your bank an inform them of your intent to build a house. Your banker will give you an idea of what kind of home will be in your budget. Choose a neighborhood or select an individual lot— Do you want acreage or a narrow lot with little yard to maintain? Or maybe something in between? Do you want a brand new neighborhood or something already established? Remember that each subdivision has its own restrictions and square footage minimums. Select a house plan that will meet your needs. We have many plans to choose from. Start by looking at floor plans and choose one that suits you. Windows, doors and elements of a front elevation can always be changed. Contact your bank and let them know what choices you have made. At this point, your banker will request several items that we help you with…usually, a signed contract with your builder, a set of house plans, and a purchase agreement on your lot.
